Composed during the time of the coronavirus pandemic, Tempus Imperfectum presents cycling patterns and metrically-disrupted grooves. Two strings of the acoustic guitar are retuned. The piece calls for a two-manual harpsichord with 8’ stops and a lute stop on the primary manual. If a lute stop is not available, it can be omitted.
